Lies, damn lies, and the case for an Iran war

Coming war with Iran based on lies and nothing but lies.

IranAttackBullsEye Lies, damn lies, and the case for an Iran warLooks like Pakistan has saved their butts from US bombs. But what about Iran?

Many claims have been made by the Bush White House about Iran these past three years, among the most outrageous being that Iran is providing funding and weapons to terror groups in Iraq. Each one of these, as usual with these crooks, are backed up with air and nothing else, and will be summarily debunked here.

The chief reason, the Bush crew and their Israeli and British partners tell us, why they’ve set their sights on Iran is because they believe that Iran is a hostile state and can’t be trusted to go nuclear without going rabid on the world. That’s lie #1. The US government’s own National Intelligence Estimate states:

Iran halted work toward a nuclear weapon under international scrutiny in 2003 and is unlikely to be able to produce enough enriched uranium for a bomb until 2010 to 2015, a U.S. intelligence report says.

A declassified summary of the latest National Intelligence Estimate found with “high confidence” that the Islamic republic stopped an effort to develop nuclear weapons in the fall of 2003.

The hillarious thing is, I got this off of CNN’s own website. But you won’t be told about it on TV. The dramatic Hollywood style impression is given that you can just get some uranium, stick it in the nukecrowave, and get instant nukes. National Security Advisor Stephen Hadley said the report means nothing, even though it is the official consensus of all 16 US intelligence agencies. He just repeats robotically the same old blablabla …. concern …. nuclear weapon …. stop enriching …. If we could just find the switches in their backs we could end all this. Yes we could! And if the British government is so damn adamant about Iran not getting nukes then maybe it should stop giving them the material and components to make them!

Just as Britain is on my mind, so is this LA Times report:

A few hundred British troops living out of nothing more than their cut-down Land Rovers and light armored vehicles have taken to the desert in the start of what British officers said would be months of patrols aimed at finding the illicit weapons trafficking from Iran, or any sign of it.

There’s just one thing.

“I suspect there’s nothing out there,” the commander, Lt. Col. David Labouchere, said last month, speaking at an overnight camp near the border. “And I intend to prove it.”

Maybe they’re just cowards. I sense the dark side is weak in him….and perhaps even in this one as well.

“I have not myself seen any evidence — and I don’t think any evidence exists — of government-supported or instigated” armed support on Iran’s part in Iraq, British Defense Secretary Des Browne said in an interview in Baghdad in late August.

The truth is that the only terror being funded is by the US against Iran. Since 2005, as reported by Seymour Hersh of the New Yorker, covert operations have been orchestrated by the CIA which include manipulating Iran’s currency and financial transactions and funding and equipping a group called Jundullah which has carried out numerous attacks against Iran and got caught by Pakistan two months ago running around in their backyard. The ABC News synopsis:

In another sign of growing tensions with the United States, Pakistan is threatening to turn over to Iran six members of a tribal militant group Iran claims are “spies” for the CIA.

The group, Jundullah, operates in Baluchistan on both sides of the border between Iran and Pakistan and has carried out a number of violent attacks on Iranian army facilities and officers inside the country.

The CIA has denied any direct ties with the group, but U.S. officials tell ABC News U.S. intelligence officers frequently meet and advise Jundullah leaders, and current and former intelligence officers are working to prevent the men from being sent to Iran.

Bingo. And we’re supposed to believe that the war on terror is real, with this and the fact that illegal aliens are allowed to have checking accounts, credit cards, and mortgages? This truly is a tangled web woven here. Who knows where Bush ends and the Ay-rabs begin anymore? They’re even starting to look alike now.

Lies, damn lies, and the case for an Iran war

It is really sad that some people mentally sidestep the fact that they have been owned every April and conned by the New York Times with their Iraq aluminum tubes and Niger yellowcake stuff and somehow manage to hold the idea in their heads that the Bushes are inept. And those types will just laugh this off and get taken for a ride with Obama one more time.

By far the most echoed accusation is the Ahmadinejad “wipe Israel off the map” quote. This was a deliberate mistranslation, exactly like how the media in the Cold War days deliberately shaved off Soviet leader Nikita Khrushchev’s bragging about the glory of communism and turned it into “we will bury you”. What he really was doing was quoting Ayatollah Khomenei saying the regime occupying Israel must vanish from the page of time, shown by Johnathan Steele of the UK Guardian and multiple native Farsi speakers, including one at the New York Times. But that won’t be revealed to the public at large, cause that would go against the agenda.

Scott Ritter, ex-UN chief weapons inspector from ‘91-’98, was interviewed by Amy Goodman of Democracy Now on, among other things, Ahmadinejad’s true level of power in Iran. He revealed this just great information and even if by some miracle all these linguists were wrong and Ahmadinejad really does want to wipe Israel off the map, it is totally meaningless because:

The true power in Iran rests with the Supreme Leader. The Supreme Leader is the Ayatollah Khamenei. He is supported by an organization called the Guardian Council. Then there’s another group called the Expediency Council. These are the people that control the military, the police, the nuclear program, all the instruments of power. And not only has the Supreme Leader issued a fatwa that says that nuclear weapons are not compatible with Islamic law, with the Shia belief system that he is responsible, in 2003 he actually reached out to the Bush administration via the Swiss embassy and said, “Look, we would like to normalize relations with the United States. We’d like to initiate a process that leads to a peace treaty between Israel and Iran.” Get this, Israel and Iran. He’s not saying, “We want to wipe Israel off the face of the earth.” He is saying, “We want peace with Israel.” And they were willing to put their nuclear program on the table.

Well, put your hand on the table with the British, Israeli and US governments, it’ll get cut off. Just like what happened with the Iraqis when they let the UN weapons inspectors in.

Ask one of the idiots defending the Israelis for raping and killing the Palestinians sometime how much time they’ve lived in Israel and have they on the ground seen exactly how life is for Israelis and Palestinians. The answer, if they’re coherent enough to give you one will most likely be none and no. They don’t even know about how the Israeli government, given $3 billion of funding by the US, zapped Sephardic Jewish children’s heads with radiation as part of an experiment to see what it’d do to them under the guise of a medical exam. This was aired on Israeli TV. It’s called The Ringworm Children. You can download it here. My half brother’s wife, who’s a Sephardic Jew, I remember from when I was little and she was his girlfriend, she loved to get on the bandwagon insulting Arabs. And complains about how the corruption of the Ashkhenazi elite in Israel. She never was all that smart, and still isn’t. Every one of them pampered little puppies who have never gone hungry a day in their life. And so it goes.

Israel has an anti-assimilation department, and they’ve released a video called Sleeping with the Enemy, which tells Israeli schoolgirls to stay away from the “exploitative” Bedouin Israelis. Watch it here.

I don’t much like doing all this Israel stuff, but as their government screams so much about their right to exist and racism, and then turns around prison style and just does the same to the Palestinians, it needs to be addressed. And if they think the Arabs and Iranians are so dirty, then what are they doing buying up Iranian oil for?

Here’s what’ll happen, if the US goes to war with Iran. Since oil is the world’s reserve currency, nations have to buy oil in dollars. The Federal Reserve will print more money for the war, which will devalue the dollar even more, which will raise oil prices. This, also is the chief reason for higher food prices. I delve deeper that and the other causes and reasons for this in How to manufacture “a global food crisis“. Analysts have put the cost of oil if Iran is attacked at $300-400 a barrel, which is about $12-15 a gallon. And besides that, there’s the Iranian people, who are the invisible folk in all this. What about them? If anyone believes that they want to go to war with anyone, they probably believe in Santa too.

I do not ask any of you to change the world. But if you pass this on by whatever means you have, to just 5 people or venues a week, then you will have ensured that 20 people a month have access to a view which CNN and FOX will not dare show you. This sort of view.
